Week 30

Picture 205:  A very cool door knocker in Portsmouth.  We were on our way to Prescott Park to see Lucinda Williams.  Seeing cooling things in Portsmouth is to be expected.

Picture 206:  Owen was going for a walk with the Papa.  It is good to get a little bit of help when you are learning to walk.
Picture 207:  We got this wagon on Saturday at a garage sale.  It needed to go to a concert.  It did.  And it had a great time.
Picture 208:  Owen did not want to share this ice cream sandwich with us.  Technically, he didn't want us to hold it.  We could eat bites without him screeching as long as he was holding it.  In the end, we all had a good bit of ice cream.  Owen's stomach did end up getting more than his hair, but just barely.
Picture 209:  From Austin, Texas, via Los Angeles, it's Lucinda Williams!  A great concert has to have a whole lot of guitars.
Picture 210:  The crew is prepping for the show.  So many guitar cases. So many amps.  This was SOOOOOOOOO worth it.  And it was Owen's first concert to boot!
Picture 211:  Lucinda was great--but then would you expect any less?  Going to Prescott Park for concerts is really a cool thing to do on a nice summer evening.

Week 29

Picture 198:  It maybe a curly pepper, but I think it probably is nice and hot too. I am so impressed with this pepper's will to grow.
Picture 199:  A grasshopper on the raspberry plant.  It wasn't hopping or on the grass.  It was just sitting there, looking at me.
Picture 200:  Soon we will have beets, not just beet greens.  I have heard that beet greens are good on their own.  I may have to test that out.
Picture 201:  This was a self-seeded sunflower from two summers ago.  I love nature. The three sunflowers that I started inside are a third the size of this one.
Picture 202:  Our neighbor kitty, Sassy, was hanging out under our car today.  He then came to get some pets from me.  He is a love bug at a distance.
Picture 203:  Owen really likes smoothies from True Brew Barista.  We now order a large just so we can get a bit of it too.  The large is just as big as Owen.
Picture 204:  Owen was having a great time at Sam's one-year birthday party.  He got to ride on trucks, play with trucks, and push buttons on a truck.  A wonderful Owen day.

Week 28

Picture 191:  Raspberries from our yard.  They are so delicious they don't make it to becoming jam.  Don't worry, we still have some of last year's jam left, so we will make due.
Picture 192:  A butterfly on the vines of our neighbor's porch.  It was a beautiful day but I don't think this butterfly will be around much longer.
Picture 193:  This poor little question mark butterfly has had a hard life.  I hope it at least got to enjoy some wonderful tree sap and nectar.
Picture 194:  We went to Ballard's for ice cream.  It was quite good as the chocolate stain on Owen's face indicates.
Picture 195:  Owen is practicing how to walk.  He uses Papa as a good moving support system.  Mama serves in that role too.
Picture 196:  Two Model T's were in the parking lot of Ballard's Ice Cream the other night.  I love the tires.
Picture 197:  This was just such a cool car, I had to take a picture of the headlight.  It looks like a Richard Scarry car.  Don't you think?

Week 27

Picture 184:  Owen and Brady are enjoying the ocean.  We went to Jenness Beach at Cable Road.  Lots of people, but still wonderful.
Picture 185:  Owen was having a wonderful time swinging at a park in Newmarket.  It was on Elm Street, but we didn't have any nightmares.
Picture 186:  A female Red Admiral at Fuller Gardens.  It was having a wonderful time slurping up the water from this rock.  The fountain was helping spread the water.
Picture 187:  An orchid in the greenhouse at Fuller Gardens, North Hampton. Such beautiful grounds.  But who has the time to do this at home?  Not me!

Picture 188:  I love, love, love cactus plants.  But even more exciting is to get really cool, up-close pictures of the needles.
Picture 189:  This is one of the many petal pictures I took today.  I just can't stop.  I have to have a picture of the flower.  Now I need another close up.  And another and another and......
Picture 190:  So, we went to a place that had over 1200 are roses.  I found a really cool flower and I kept looking at the non-roses.

Week 26

Picture 177:  One of my favorite Owen pictures.  Yes, I say that a lot, but this one is just so cute and handsome and funny and............

Picture 178:  These pieces of glass are in a cement block I made a few years back.  Now they are being overgrown by the ground cover we planted.  Not such a bad thing.

Picture 179:  This fly was so patient.  It was a great subject  It let me move all over the place without flying away.  Thanks fly!

Picture 180:  This dragonfly was not as good of a subject as the fly.  Can you take lessons dragonfly?  I tried to get close, but when I did, it flew off for a bit.

Picture 181:  These lilies are the current flowers blooming in the yard other than roses.  I just wish there were some yellow ones too.  Next year?.
Picture 182:  These roses just keep blooming and blooming and blooming and..........I can't believe how brilliant the reds are.  They are even redder, if possible, than in this picture.

Picture 183:  Lupine seeds post bloom.  I wonder how well these will replant themselves next year.  There sure are A LOT of seeds between the two plants that actually grew and flowered this year.
